Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (HEIDELBERG) is bringing its announced entry into industrial digital commercial printing, in collaboration with its partner Canon, to fruition. The new Jetfire 50 B3 inkjet printing system, which was presented at the leading industry trade fair, has now begun demonstration operations at the Print Media Center (PMC) located in Wiesloch-Walldorf. Interested parties can schedule demonstrations by contacting the appropriate representatives in the HEIDELBERG sales offices. In addition to a variety of pre-prepared print jobs, including brochures, flyers, cards, and posters, customers also have the opportunity to test their own print jobs on the machine. The Jetfire 50 is designed to handle a diverse range of products up to B3 format in the commercial sector.
The hybrid integration of all HEIDELBERG offset and digital printing systems, managed through the Prinect workflow, will also be showcased. By combining offset and digital presses within a Prinect workflow, users can greatly enhance their flexibility, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness in print production, while also gaining standardized access to the HEIDELBERG ecosystem.
"We are fulfilling our commitment and accelerating the expansion of our digital offerings for commercial print shops," states Dr. David Schmedding, Chief Technology & Sales Officer at HEIDELBERG. "Customers can now test the new B3 Jetfire 50 inkjet printing system at the Print Media Center in Wiesloch-Walldorf. The emphasis is on exploring the benefits and opportunities of hybrid production alongside our sheetfed offset printing solutions."
