LAS VEGAS (PRINTING United Booth #SL8101) – September 10, 2024 – Following the success of its renowned SureColor® S-Series signage printer line, Epson has unveiled the next-generation SureColor S9170. This new 64-inch solvent printer utilizes an advanced 11-color ink set, which includes Red, Orange, and a brand-new Green, to achieve a wide color gamut and accurately reproduce nearly any color, providing over 99% PANTONE® coverage.1 Featuring the first-ever user-replaceable printhead in its category,2 the SureColor S9170 ensures consistent high-quality output and exceptional productivity for small to medium sign shops, print franchises, and e-commerce printers.
The SureColor S9170 will be introduced globally at PRINTING United in Las Vegas, taking place from September 10-12 at Epson's booth #SL8101.

The SureColor S9170 maintains the expansive color gamut that Epson is renowned for by utilizing UltraChrome® GS3 ink, which includes Red, Orange, and a new Green, along with opaque White Ink. This feature allows for printing on both clear and dark substrates, enhancing versatility and color richness. The fast-drying ink set enables same-day lamination3, and the printer offers the flexibility to mix and match ink packs, allowing print shops to install either 800mL or 1,500mL4 of any color to best accommodate their workflow requirements.
The SureColor S9170 introduces the first-ever user-replaceable PrecisionCore® Micro TFP printhead in its class, equipped with integrated temperature sensor control to ensure reliable image quality and consistent color across jobs and panels. Its sleek, compact, and modern design offers a precise and efficient footprint, making it suitable for various workspaces. The printer also facilitates easy maintenance with automatic daily printhead upkeep and integrates with advanced management tools to enhance production efficiency. This includes Epson Edge® Print Pro RIP software and Epson Cloud Solution PORT®5, which provide capabilities for production monitoring and fleet management.
