The 14th annual seminar will take place in November, featuring a series of presentations that delve into the efficacy of print in packaging.
The upcoming 14th annual Power of Print seminar is just 12 weeks away and continues to maintain its popularity and relevance.
On November 5th, the event will bring together a diverse audience of 200 marketers, printers, publishers, and agencies at Stationers' Hall in central London. The lineup of ten speakers will explore a range of topics from technology trends to direct marketing. The common theme among all speakers is the advocacy for ink on paper, emphasizing the effectiveness of print in a digital-centric era.
The event will commence with BPIF chief executive Charles Jarrold presenting the latest data on the printing industry, referencing the federation's Printing Outlook research. Jonathan Tame, managing director of Two Sides and Love Paper, will conclude the event with an update on the efforts of Two Sides in combating greenwashing.
Several returning speakers include Rachel Aldghieri, the managing director of DMA; environmentalist Jonathan Porritt; and Mathew Faulkner, the marketing and innovation director at Canon Europe. Faulkner will share insights from research commissioned by Canon on consumer behavior, technological advancements, and their implications for the future of print businesses.
Some attendees are attending the event for the first time and bring equally compelling narratives. Keshini Dodhia, the B2B marketing manager for Tony's Chocolonely, a socially responsible chocolate company, will share insights on how personalized print plays a crucial role in distributing their product to consumers. Justin Cairns, the head of offline production at Ogilvy UK, will highlight how creativity and print can synergize to create impactful outcomes, showcasing instances where this synergy has proven effective, contrary to the notion that digital channels are the sole means of communication.
In the afternoon session, Elin Furelid, the director of future packaging at Absolut/Ricard, will share the journey of developing a paper bottle for the drinks brand and the obstacles encountered. James Pryor, co-founder and managing partner of Touch, a structural packaging development and innovation agency, will discuss the environmental and societal factors influencing packaging as brands strive to achieve carbon neutrality.
Kate Hulley is the owner and manager of Belmont Packaging, a corrugated packaging company that serves various sectors and promotes strong environmental values. Hulley will elaborate on the unique aspects of the business, highlighting its status as a woman-led enterprise in a predominantly male-dominated industry. Neil Osment is the founder of NOA, a research and business development firm that specializes in assisting packaging companies.
This year, the seminar will have a strong focus on packaging, aligning with the trends showcased at Drupa where printed packaging emerged as a significant growth area for the industry.
Tickets for the seminar sell for £199 from Two Sides.
