drupa Gardens presents modern materials and printing solutions live in the Food Court at drupa, the world's leading trade fair for printing technologies. International partners from the printing industry are supporting the project with innovative materials and modern digital printing solutions.
Out-of-home and interior design options for the hospitality industry are becoming increasingly diverse. In addition to a variety of flexible and rigid substrates, there are a wide range of printing processes that can be used to transform outdoor and indoor spaces, as well as entire locations, in a short space of time - without having to make any structural changes.
Catered by SV Business Catering, the participating companies present in drupa's central catering area today's possibilities in visual communication and demonstrate how well their material and print applications perform as part of a holistic concept. From large format digital printing to small scale applications, visitors to the Food Court drupa Gardens will experience best practice solutions in printing and finishing.
drupa Gardens showcases presentations in the context of print applications
HP Large Format presents printed décor applications with Latex water-based ink which reduces the environmental impact significantly. Printing with the odourless technology on PVC free media gives an additional sustainable edge and a cozy and comfortable environment in interior and exterior hospitality areas. The brand shows solutions of direct printing on wood and on PVC free self-adhesive media.
As a manufacturer of synthetic papers, YUPO is also represented with hard-wearing, light-resistant film applications on table and chair surfaces. These films score highly especially outdoors in wind and weather thanks to their firm hold. YUPO’s synthetic substrates combine the ideal print quality of a premium paper with the high tear strength and resistance of a plastic synthetic film, together with a unique smooth surface.
Under the motto ‘Sustainable fabric production made in Germany’, Georg+Otto Friedrich presents textile applications such as large banners, curtains and banner solutions as part of the brand new drupa Gardens concept. Both printed and unprinted textiles can be discovered. As a leading manufacturer of polyester knitted fabrics with a focus on innovative solutions for digital printing and technical textiles for industrial applications, the company produces exclusively at three locations in Germany.
For years, drupa has been a landmark, showcasing the pinnacle of the graphics arts market. As the industry progresses, it's natural for participants to explore new horizons, extending beyond traditional paper and plastic printing into textile production. Kornit, global leader of DTG direct-to-garment solutions, is represented in drupa Gardens with aprons for the service personnel, revealing the substantial, lucrative prospects that digital textiles offer to commercial printers.
Antalis is represented as a wholesaler with various materials for visual communication solutions and presents large format prints as non-slip floor stickers. The impressively designed water lily ponds, based on photographs by the artist couple Bays & Zierhut, can be seen in three formats. Other film applications can be found as decorative elements on the coffee station, as laminated banners for tent ballastings and as life-size crocodile prints. As a specialist in large format printing, Terminal A0 supports the print production. Small materials such as wristbands, magnets, menu cards and drinks vouchers provide a further insight into the wide Antalis range.
Massivit has 3D-printed a giant 1.8-meter crocodile along with some charismatic garden gnomes who will warmly await visitors to the enchanted drupa Gardens. The company’s all-new large-format 3D printer, the Massivit 3000, will be unveiled at drupa in hall 9, booth A08, allowing attendees to see this high-speed technology in action, alongside a wide range of extraordinary 3D advertising displays including retail POP’s, billboards, and custom soft signage.
