A six-year old schoolgirl has created a burgeoning merchandise business out of a lockdown charity craft project, and is looking for a suitable printer to help keep the venture going.
Six-year-old Annie Bond and her mum Victoria, are the brains behind the ‘Little Key Worker Co’, which began life when Annie coloured in a set of wooden figures with images of key workers.
She sold the figures as bookmarks from a charity stall outside the family home in Burnley, with money raised going to Alder Hey Hospital.
After a picture of the bookmarks was posted on Facebook, demand for her charming images grew and orders started to flood in.
Annie’s drawings have since spread onto a range of merchandise including mugs, tote bags, cushions and hanging decorations.
She has also been nominated for a Pride of Britain award, and could expand her fundraising activities.
Speaking to the Clitheroe Advertiser & Times, Victoria Bond said: “We have orders on the books that we won’t be able to complete unless we can find a company that can take on the printing for us.
“It will be just devastating if we cannot carry on with the project that has taken off in ways we could never have imagined.”
